India's second largest IT company Infosys' board has approved the grant of stock incentives or Employee Stock Option Plans (ESOPs) worth over Rs 51 crore to CEO and MD Salil Parekh. These stock incentives are under various heads including ESG and equity, and add up to over Rs 51 crore.
Parekh was held guilty in the case related to the 1992 stock scam, in which Canbank Financial Services was duped of over Rs 47 crore (Rs 470 million). On April 1, a special court in Mumbai had sentenced Parekh, Hiten Dalal and four others to one year in jail for siphoning off funds from Canbank Financial Services Ltd, a unit of Canara Bank.

Wipro Chief Executive Officer Thierry Delaporte drew a pay package of $8.7 million (around Rs 64.3 crore) in the financial year 2020-21, according to a regulatory filing.
